Gwarchod-y-Meseia 59640 (2001)

An exceptional black stallion by Fronarth Victor (Ebbw Victor X Fronarth Victor) who has sired the youngstock champions at The Royal Welsh Show in 1997, 1998, 1999 and 2000. Gwarchod-y-Meseia was foaled on Easter Sunday morning 15 April 2001- hence the name - and is undoubtedly the best Welsh cob colt we have ever bred with 2 whites one in front and one behind. His dam was one of our foundation mares at the stud 79757 Gwarcoed Marita, a grand daughter of Pentre Eiddwen Comet.

This stallion is destined to go the top in any sphere. He won the Champion Section D Welsh Cob Foal and Reserve Supreme Overall Champion at the Ceredigion Welsh Pony and Cob Association Foal and Youngstock Show in 2001 and was also winner of the Section D Cob colt class at the Carmarthenshire Welsh Pony and Cob Association foal show in 2001. He also was the winner of the Welsh Cob Colt Foal class at the Royal Welsh Winter Fair 2001 and also won his first yearling colt class at the Pembrokeshire In Hand show on 19 January 2002. He has won numerous first prizes since and has been licensed as a Stallion as well as been broken in to ride and drive by Gwyn and Janet Owen of Glanbrogan, Bwlch y Cibau, Llansantffraid Ym Mechain, Powys.

Winner of Best Trade Turnout at the Cardigan Barley Fair on Sat 30 th April 2005 pulling the old Gynarthen Chapel Horse Drawn Hearse ca.1902 and renovated by Mr Hugh Jones, Bryn Melin, Llanwrin, Machynlleth.

Also placed in the Hereford Driving Club Show on Sunday 8th May 2005 and qualified for the Osbourn Refrigeration Private Drive Championships in September 20

We have exported our cobs to Europe including in 1995 94574 Mineola Mistral by Treforys Atomic 31381 and out of 778006 Tireinion Heather by Tireinion Triple Crown 23365 to LITTLE FARM WELSH COB STUD in West Germany and we had the pleasure of showing her for her new owners in the 1995 German National Show where she was 2nd in her class.
